burlnaz

We are one of many churches in the denomination known as the Church of the Nazarene, which is a Protestant denomination. Click the denominational affiliation link below to find out more about the COTN.

The dream of Burlnaz is to help people connect to God, each other, and the world.

Connect To God Growth – Developing awareness of and receptivity to Christ’s presence, voice, and will living in us, others, and the world

Connect To Each Other Community – Cultivating authentic relationships with other Christians in earnest pursuit of the unity for which Jesus prayed

Connect to the World Service – Expressing with others, in practical ways, the grace and mercy of God in the world, and the hope of His perfect justice to come

What We Believe

We believe in:
1. One God — revealed to humans as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one in nature and eternal purpose; different in roles
2. The Old and New Testament Scriptures were given to us by the complete inspiration of God, working through human agents. They contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
3. Humans are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to act apart from and in disobedience to the perfection of God’s perfect law and to do that continually.
4. Those who choose to remain without repentance are hopelessly and eternally lost to the eternal presence and blessings of God.
5. Atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and whoever repents and puts full trust in the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
6. Believers lives are to become completely dedicated to God in holy living, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
7. The Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
8.That our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
